RULE OF PATTERN REFLECTION
2/25/2020
In class this week, we learned the Rules of Composition. Both these photographs demonstrate the Rule of Thirds. The Rule of Thirds centers around three diagonal and three horizontal lines that are envisioned to go through the image. With the rule, the subject of the photo should be on a meeting point of two lines or long one line. A setting on the camera allows the photographer to place the grid on the photo while they are shooting it, to use as a guide.
FORCED PERSPECTIVE REFLECTIONS
3/9/2020
One thing I struggled with while taking forced perspective photos, was the blurriness. In some photos, the background and subject were both in focus, making the picture look real. In most others, the subject was in focus, and the background was blurry, often making the objective of the photo indistinguishable. As you can see in the image with the chip bag, the chip bag is blurry, but the girl in the photo is in focus. Unlike the chip bag photo, the basketball photo was all in focus. The reasoning behind this was difficult for me to understand, and fix.
MACRO PHOTOS
3/9/2020
The thing I struggled with while taking macro photos was making the photo in focus. Without the use of real camera, it was hard to get my phone to focus on the subjects. The reason being, that my phone does not have as quality a camera as the professional cameras that we use in class to take pictures.
